DECORATED INKYLICIOUS STAMP BOOK USING SHEENA DOUGLASS DRAGONFLIES

Well.....I just loved doing this fabulous MDF stamp book.  It was so much fun.  I wanted to have all my Fairy stamps in one place so what better way to do it, by decorating your own....YAY!

I covered the two mdf boards, front and back, with white gesso, giving slight texture with cardboard as I pasted on.....a couple of coats and waiting for this to dry.

Sprayed using the colours of my choice using Dylusions Ink Sprays.  When I achieved the colour I liked and was happy with, I let dry....Oh, do dry in between colours or you will end up with one colour, a brown hahahaha

Next I used Sheena Douglass Stencil from the Groovy 60s collection (Circles) and placed in middle of board and applied textured paste.  Once dried it really is a matter of playing, adding more colour if you want till you have your desired effect.

The wording STAMP BOOK came with the mdf in the pack and this I painted with Black Gesso and the rubbed silver gilding wax over.  Also rubbed silver gilding wax round the sides of the book, over the textured uneaven bits including the textured circles I made with texture paste and applying the white gesso.  This gives it a lovely effect I think.

Lastly, the Dragonflies where die cut and embossed in black.....coloured using a mixture of inks and Stickles......I then played around working out the layout.

The back of the book is exactly like the front but without dragonflies and writing.

Oh....forgot to mention I have sprayed both front and back, once all is stuck on, Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle which is a Hard wearing gloss varnish with Ultra fine glitter in it......the pictures below do not really do is justice, in real life, its lovely and sparkly and varnished.

Hope you like, I do, and will be getting more of these Stamp Books for other themes of stamps I have....and i have LOTS hahahahaha

Happy Crafting........♥♥♥
